to everyone who visited last weekend, it's so nice to talk to people and get feedback about your work, being an artist can be quite isolating and you do worry about whether your work is any good or if people can identify with it in some way, so events like open studios are a good way of finding these things out!
I am open next weekend too so if you couldn't make it this time it's not too late, I look forward to seeing you!
Only a few days left until the big day, I don't think I've ever worked so hard or been so tired but it's starting to pay off. I've been wanting to do Open Studios for such a long time now, and now it's finally here I just want it to be over so I can get on with other things. I've focused and exorcised a few demons along the way and feel so excited and full of new ideas and challenges I can't wait to get started. Open Studios is just the beginning!

I was lucky enough to recieve this gorgeous little canvas and plushies (quickly nabbed by my daughter!) from Beccasophie.etsy.com. My swappee was Abi from Abi Bansal Design and as I know she does a lot of sketching for her gorgeous clothes designs I made her this little sketchbook. When's the next one guys?
