I can never resist them even though I have many more in my craft room than I think I would ever use in a lifetime!Swirlyartshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17604277693684703535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15254205.post-55961714612634795322010-07-12T18:13:19.372+01:002010-07-12T18:13:19.372+01:00now you know that I am going to have to leave a co...now you know that I am going to have to leave a comment! I loved buttons as a child but them kinda forgot about them till during my teens & early adulthood till i happened upon one in a charity shop a few years ago that I just fell in love with - that day brings me where I am today - Bonkers About Buttons. I can now never walk past a charity shop without asking if they have any buttons & I also have family & friends always on the lookout for me. I have finally decided to do something with my 'little wonders' which have been amassing in my studio. I have set up a facebook group and am in the process of setting up the blog & storefronts. Do come over and check us out! http://www.facebook.com/BonkersAboutButtonsAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08698182710741253685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15254205.post-21804212084765541612010-07-12T17:43:39.162+01:002010-07-12T17:43:39.162+01:00Your buttons are gorgeous! A lovely post - made me all sentimental about rifling through my mums button tin - it was just so magical sorting through them all, making pictures and choosing my favourites etc.

I LOVE the ceramic buttons you've posted they are so wonderful and the Hodge Podge Arts ones are very biscuitlike which makes me hungry too!

Megan :)Meganhttp://www.naturalunnatural.co.uknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15254205.post-51645594518819468652010-07-12T17:07:21.487+01:002010-07-12T17:07:21.487+01:00Oh, button tins! Time out, dreaming of all the things you'll make, could make, might make...ok, might never make. Sorting into colours and shapes for children.

Now I see M&S have been selling knitwear with odd buttons - different colours, designs, shapes, all on the same garment. So non-matching is the new matching.

That just means my button tin contains even ore permutations of garments I might never knit in my lifetime. But I can look back over the ones I have knitted for their discarded buttons are there...those I gifted, who knows? Maybe they are the vintage buttons in someone else's tin.

I'm with you Karen, buttons are a must buy! Don't have to have a reason...and now I am a cardmaker, they feature in my designs quite often.SDCraftshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09651374870477025304noreply@blogger.com
